The most common Hebrew word for youth is נְעוּרִים (  ), deriving from the words for youngster – נַעַר ( for a male and נַעֲרָה ( for a female. נעורים usually has a word introducing it as a period of time or an age.
 
For example:
 
גִּיל הַנְּעוּרִים הוּא תְּקוּפָה בִּלְתִּי נִשְׁכַּחַת.
The age of youth is an unforgettable time.
