קָרַחַת
Hair loss in Hebrew is נשירת שיער, or simply נשירה (literally, falling out).
For example:
היום יש דרכים שונות להתמודד עם נשירה.
Today there are different ways to deal with hair loss.
Another word for hair loss is התקרחות, which is related to קרח – bald, and קרחת – baldness, as in:
הוא השלים עם הקרחת וגילח את הראש.
He made peace with his (the) baldness and shaved his head.
קרחת also refers to a clearing in a forest – a “bald spot” in the woods.

if you look at the roots (of the two words)
they are the same root – ק.ר.ח
however…
the letter ח, which today most people pronounce as KH
once represented two sounds
KH and H
קרֵחַ was pronounced with H
but it’s not clear if קֶרַח was
with KH or H
if it was with KH
then it is actually a different root
and therefore the words are unrelated
