The root of the word שפל- a low, is ש.פ.ל
and there is a theory that these roots of the Hebrew language
which have three letters
they really have more ancient root
of two letters – and the first two letters
of the root – in our case, ש.פ

start with ש.פ
and see how they are, perhaps, related
for example, שפך-spillage
or “spilled” – water that is spilled
meaning, water is spilled, and it goes down somewhere
Where does it go down to? To the low, to the low place
Also שפע-abundance

there is another root – ש.פ.ר
which is very very similar to ש.פ.ל
