The word נראות-visibility comes from the word
נראה-appears – and in the infinitive, להיראות
And the root is ר.א.ה
but the Nun is part of the verb structure
It’s the Nifal verb structure
So let’s conjugate this verb
להיראות in various tenses
In the past – he appeared …?
הוא נראה
היא נראתה
הם or הן נראו
אני נראיתי
and here the ה of the ר.א.ה
becomes a Yud
Actually the root is ר.א.י but
we will not get into it now
You appear, when talking to multiple people?
אתם נראיתם
אנחנו נראינו
In the present tense
אני נראה if I am a man
or אני נראית if I’m a woman
אנחנו נראים if we are a group
of only males or a mixed group
and אנחנו נראות
if we are a group of only females
In the future – here the Nun
falls because it is difficult to pronounce it
