Perhaps you are familiar with the blessing
that we bless the person who gets an aliyah at the Torah
after the aliyah
which starts with “He who blessed our forefathers
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
and so on and so on and so on
and shall preserve him from any trouble and distress
and from every plague and illness
and here there’s a word that …
צוקה, I … I think
it’s supposed to be a מצוקה – distress
could be there was a clerical error
in some generation, and so it got written
צוקה instead of מצוקה
I could be wrong
could be that there really is such a word צוקה
but I do not know of it in any other context
