There’s another slang expression

but people say “go to Gaza”
but Azalel is a place in the Bible
And when we talk about “hell”
in a mystical manner
when we talk about what happens after death
we don’t use the word Azalel
we use another word – Gehinom
Gehinom as well is a the name of a place
Outside of Jerusalem, outside the Old City of Jerusalem
there is a valley called Gey Ben Hinom
Today there’s a Cinematheque there, it’s very nice
but they once sacrificed children there
And apparently, in the name of this sacrifice
and in the name of all the bad things that happened there in the Valley
the name Gehinom became a symbol
of something more…
of what is common on the lips of everyone today
when they talk about that place
that’s unpleasant to talk about, to arrive at
