Another thing I’ve found myself doing with my extra time is making new dishes.

The Hebrew way of saying to make food is להכין אוכל[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/להכין-אוכל-#.m4a” /] – literally, to prepare food.

For example:

[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/להכין-אוכל-#.m4a” /]איזה אוכל אתה מכין, דוד? יש לו ריח טוב.

What food are you making, David? It has a good smell.

להכין[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/להכין-אוכל-#.m4a” /] is a הפעיל verb of the root כ.ו.נ[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/להכין-אוכל-#.m4a” /].
