Hebrew has two ways of saying soon. Which one to choose depends on whether you want to sound casual or a bit formal.

עוד מעט[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/עוד-מעט-#.m4a” /] is the more casual version. It means something like in a little bit (literally it’s a bit more).

For example:

[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/עוד-מעט-#.m4a” /]סבלנות, עוד מעט אנחנו מגיעים.

Patience, we’re almost there (we’re arriving soon).

The slightly more term is בקרוב[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/עוד-מעט-#.m4a” /] – literally, in nearby.

For example:

[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/עוד-מעט-#.m4a” /]בקרוב בבתי קולנוע!

Soon in movie theaters!
