While the Biblical-Hebrew word for children in general is טף[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/ילדים-#.m4a” /], Modern Hebrew prefers the more basic word ילדים[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/ילדים-#.m4a” /], the plural of ילד[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/ילדים-#.m4a” /] – (male) child.
