סב – grandfather is close to the word שיבה – old age
‘Stand up in the presence of the aged (Leviticus 19:32)
שיבה means old age
so Grandpa and Grandma are our elders
and the generation above them is great grandma and great grandpa
what is רבה – great? רבא is in Aramaic again
