Hey dear friends
for me cauliflower has always been
a vegetable that I do not know what to do with

to make it delicious
My aunt would make me things

I would recall – cauliflower
I would tell her, auntie, fry me cauliflower
I love the cauliflower she would fry
She would take (them), soak them in water
boil them, take them out
dry them thoroughly
letting them dry, really, letting it dry
She would put them upside down, so all the liquids would drain
drying it
and then (she would) soak it
dipping it in matzah meal and egg
fry it
and would bring (it to us)
You would taste (it), it was soft, melting in (your) mouth
and delicious when it was hot
Now, she would make it for me
It would come on trays, and she would make piles
piles! It was not enough for me, it was not enough
And today you make the same recipe?
I (make) the same recipe … I always recall (her)
and it always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling (good in the heart)
When I see someone enjoying it, it’s even better for me
