What is a chef?
A chef, by definition, is someone who studied
culinary arts, knows it cold
and can work – perhaps already works
professionally in a kitchen
So that when we compliment
each other and say, Wow
you made amazing food, you’re a chef (male)
or you’re a chef (female)
this is an inaccurate usage
I wonder whether during corona
everyone became “chefs” because
there wasn’t anywhere to go eat out
and therefore I bet people became really creative
and invented new recipes of their own
that didn’t exist before in the world
Meaning, corona came and
democratized food
But the truth is that already before
corona people have known how to invent
recipes of their own for thousands of years
and thanks to them we have a variety of flavors
around the world in the restaurant business
and at home
