Student Stories from All Over the World!
Our online courses at Ulpan La-Inyan have students participating from all over the world – here are some of their stories!
Liliana from Italy
Shalom everyone, my name is Liliana I moved to Giv’Atayim from Italy at the beginning of February because my boyfriend is Israeli. I love languages and I was curious to learn about Hebrew. I just finished the first level at Ulpan La-Inyan, and in just 2 lessons you will be able to write your name and the names of your family.
The teacher was super available to help, very clear, and very knowledgeable. Their method works and I succeeded to learn fast. The language is challenging but is logical. I like the fact that the course is based on conversation and listening.
I look forward to continuing my education with them! Namaste.

Jeff from South Africa
I made Aliyah in July 2019. I did a 6-month Ulpan, but that was just the beginning of my Hebrew knowledge. I need more Hebrew and will continue needing to come to Ulpan until I am comfortable in communicating.
Nicole from Germany
My name is Nicole and I am from Germany. I met my Israeli husband when I travelled in Australia 1996. We fell in love, travelled together more 4 months and got married one year later. We live with our 3 kids in Germany and visit our family in Israel every year. My husband speaks with our kids since they are born Hebrew, so they know
German and Hebrew fluently now. I thought that I could learn with them the language, but I couldn’t. It’s so hard for me…
When we meet our family in Israel, its hard to not understand everything. So, I decided to take a break from my job and to study Hebrew in Israel for a while at Ulpan La-Inyan. Unfortunately, Covid-19 came through… so I am back in Germany again, but I am still studying Hebrew with the online course now!

Milou from Italy
I’m Milou from Rome, currently learning Hebrew with Ulpan La-Inyan. I decided to learn Hebrew, when the first time a friend took me to the Negev 3 years ago, I felt I found my special place. So, I decided that the following year I would have hiked part of the Shvil Israel to immerse myself in its colors and views. I did it, and it changed my entire life! I discovered myself as I hiked, I discovered wonderful places and amazing people who are still very dear to me. Learning Hebrew started before the hike, and after I returned home my curiosity and commitment were even strengthened. I hope to be fluent and come back to Israel soon!

Alrun from Austria
My name is Alrun. My mum is originally from Tirol, Austria, where many Israelis love to discover the mountains. She moved to Israel for some years, where she and my dad fell in love. My dad is from Israel, he grew up in Tel Aviv-Yafo. They moved to beautiful Vienna, Austria, where I was born and grew up. At home we spoke German.
Now is my time to learn this interesting language, Hebrew. I wish to hear my dad speaking in his mother tongue and to talk Hebrew with my family in Israel –and all my family and friends there. And I love to travel around the beautiful country of Israel.
Dana-Leigh from England
I’m Dana-Leigh—I live in England and was born in the US. I wanted to learn Hebrew because I have relatives in Jerusalem and my husband and I have become frequent travelers to Israel. The Ulpan La-Inyan online crash courses have been absolutely brilliant. The instruction is great and the online materials are fantastic.
