how to say “it will be possible” in Hebrew

The word אפשר[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /] means it’s possible, as well as one may, as in:

[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /]אפשר להיכנס?

May I come in?

But what if you want to say that something was possible or will be possible? Just add a word for was:

היה[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /] ( if what was possible is feminine, הייתה[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /])

…or will be: 

יהיה[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /] (if what will be possible is feminine, תהיה[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /]).

For example:

[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /]כשיסגרו את השער, כבר לא יהיה אפשר לעלות למטוס.

When they close the gate, we won’t be able (it won’t be possible) to get on the plane anymore.

You could also use אפשרי[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/יהיה-אפשר-#.m4a” /]instead of אפשר in these cases, but אפשרי is more definite than אפשר and cannot be used to mean one may.
