Hebrew’s version of years and years is שנים על גבי שנים[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/שנים-על-גבי-שנים-#.m4a” /] – literally, years on the backs of years.

For example:

It took him years and years, but in the end he finished writing the book.

You can also say ימים על גבי ימים[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/שנים-על-גבי-שנים-#.m4a” /], days and days, חודשים על גבי חודשים[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/שנים-על-גבי-שנים-#.m4a” /] – months and months, etc.
