we use the word לעבד – to process
not only in the context of data processing
or food processing
but also in the processing of information
and emotions
for example, “I need time to process
what I just went through”
although we do use לעבד in this context
but there is another word used more frequently
which is more appropriate
in Hebrew
and that is לעכל – to digest
for example, “I need time to digest this experience”
