seven ways of saying “how are you?” in Hebrew
In English, we’ve got many ways of asking someone how they are feeling, what they are doing, etc, such as how are you? how’s it going? what’s up? how are you going (Australian)? how are you doing (American)? what’s going on? what’s happening? etc.
In Hebrew, we’ve also got a bunch of ways to greet with a question. Here are seven:
How are you (to a male)? How are you (to a female)? Literally, What is your peace?

What’s happening?
What are the matters? (What’s interesting?)
What do you tell (to a male)? What do you tell (to a female)?
How’s (it) going?
What is going?
