Hebrew doesn’t have a verb like the English to overeat. Instead, Israelis are wont to say:

I ate too much.
But there is a word for overeating the thing: אכילת יתר[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/אכילת-יתר-1.m4a” /].
For example:
[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/אכילת-יתר-3.m4a” /]אכילת יתר יכולה להגיע להתמכרות.
Overeating can become (arrive at) addiction.
