The Hebrew word for opinion comes from the root for knowledge – ד.ע.ה (d.a.h). The word is דֵּעָה.

For example:

הִיא בֶּן אָדָם מַשְׂכִּיל, וְיֵשׁ לָהּ דֵּעָה בָּעִנְיָן.
She is an educated person, and she has an opinion on the matter.
אדם בעל דעותWhen connected to another noun or when there is a pronoun ending to the word, which is usually the case, the ה (h) at the end of דעה becomes a ת (t). 
 
For example:
 
דַּעֲתוֹ מְגֻבֶּשֶׁת הֵיטֵב.
His opinion is well-formed.
לְשַׁנּוֹת אֶת דַּעֲתִי…
To change my mind (opinion)…
