Today Israelis are voting for the local municipalities – הָרָשֻׁיּוֹת הַמְּקוֹמִיּוֹת  .
 
The Hebrew word for local is מְקוֹמִי   in the masculine and מְקוֹמִית   in the feminine. These words are an adjective form of the noun מָקוֹם   meaning place
 
אישה רוכבת על אופניים
 
 
They can also be nouns in their own right. For example:
 
אֲנִי לֹא יוֹדֵעַ אֵיפֹה הַקּוֹלְנוֹעַ. אֲנִי לֹא מְקוֹמִי.
I don’t know where the movie theater is. I’m not a local.
