| Jelly-Bean tasting Manna? |
In the Torah portion to be read tomorrow by Jews around the world, Moses instructs Aaron to place a sample of the Manna fallen from heaven into some kind of receptacle (probably a saucer), for future generations of the Children of Israel to see.
Though to the best of my knowledge none of today’s Children of Israel have seen this sample of the Manna, they still use the same word for receptacle, specifically a jar, as did their ancestors: צִנְצֶנֶת (tseen-TSEH-net).
Several jars are צִנְצְנוֹת (tseen-tseh-NOHT).
