The Hebrew word זוּגִיּוּת (zoo-ghee-YOOT) refers to the existence of couples as well as all the issues that come with them – couplehood, for lack of a better term in English. An approximate translation is relationships.

זוגיות comes from the word זוּג (zoog), a word first appearing in Mishnaic Hebrew meaning couple or pair

The וּת– (oot) ending signifies what would in English be -hood, -ism, etc.

For example:

יֵשׁ צוֹרֶךְ בְּמַנְהִיגִים רוּחָנִיִים שֶׁהֵם גַּם מוּמְחִים לְזוּגִיּוּת.
There is a need for (in) spiritual leaders who are also experts in (to) relationships.
(yesh TSOH-rekh leh-mahn-hee-GHEEM roo-khah-nee-YEEM sheh-HEM gahm moom-KHEEM leh-zoo-ghee-YOOT)
