The Hebrew word קהל[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/קהילה-#.m4a” /] appears already in the Torah. It refers to an assembly or a congregation.

For community, word קהילה[audioclip url=”https://archive.ulpan.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/קהילה-#.m4a” /] came about later.

For example:

Which community do you belong to (associate yourself with), David?
