Hi friends
in 1948
my grandparents met in the Land of Israel
both were Holocaust survivors from Hungary
and they met and got married
a week before or a week after the declaration of independence, I don’t remember
and together with some friends
founded Kibbutz Tehiya
this kibbutz belonged to the religious movement
Hapoel Mizrahi and the
idea was to establish a religious kibbutz
now, the name of the kibbutz did not bode well for itself
they called it תחייה – revival, but it didn’t live too long
the kibbutz members scattered
among them my grandparents, to Tel Aviv
